A unique and informal Bitcoin meetup, where you can kick off Bitcoin Amsterdam in true style. We’re creating a relaxed, cozy atmosphere where you can pay with Bitcoin, enjoy great company, and connect with fellow Bitcoiners in a laid-back setting.

The creator & leader of the Seed Signer project will give a talk about his innovative product, offering an inside look into Bitcoin security and privacy.

“Who am I? A space researcher by day and a cypherpunk by night. Since 2019 I've been a user of the privacy-focused Wasabi Wallet, contributing to their bug bounties to get bullet-proof privacy tools for Bitcoin that are usable for the average person. This year, there has been a government offense against Bitcoin privacy providers, resulting in the closing down of two centralized non-custodial CoinJoin coordinators (Samourai & zkSNACKs). As I highly value the possibility of doing private onchain transactions (privacy is not a crime!), I've started running the Noderunners Batched Transaction Coordinator (see: coinjoin.nl). Getting to Zaandam from Amsterdam Central Station:
Take a sprinter or intercity train heading towards Uitgeest, Enkhuizen, or Hoorn. The ride is only 12 minutes, and Zaandam is the second stop. Trains run frequently.
Walking from Zaandam Station to Café Swart:
- Exit the station at the front (Stationsplein) and walk straight towards the city center.
- Cross the bridge over the water; you’ll see the iconic Zaantoren on your right.
- Continue straight onto the Gedempte Gracht, a lively shopping street.
- At the end of the street, turn left onto the Dam. After about 100 meters, you’ll find Café Swart on your right at number 12.
